random_seed

Sets a seed to the random generator used in the simulations. This is useful when wanting the result of a script to be reproducible, even though the decisions about behavior responses are taken using a random function. It may be set anywhere in the script.

Note

The parameter random_seed can only be specified once per script.

Syntax

random_seed = n

where n is a string. Strings representing an integer are often used. See example below.

Description

random_seed = n sets the random generator seed to n.

Examples

random_seed = 5

sets the random seed to 5.

random_seed = hello

sets the seed to the string ‘hello’.
